About this domain
trashthedress.org is a domain name for sale built on a phrase wedding photographers already know: the "trash the dress" session, where the bride wears her gown into the surf, a field or the rain after the ceremony. The name tells people what the site is about. It fits photographers, wedding planners and anyone who wants to start a project on the topic.
Why the name works
It is three plain English words. You can say it over the phone and nobody has to ask how to spell it. It is short enough to remember and long enough to say exactly what you do. The .org extension suits a community or a collection of ideas as well as a business.
Ways to use it
- Photographer portfolio: a site just for post-wedding shoots, with galleries, locations and a booking form. Couples searching for this style see the service in the URL.
- Blog or community: shoot ideas, location guides and real couples' stories. A wedding blogger or publisher can build an archive over time.
- Dress reuse project: a nonprofit or workshop that collects used wedding gowns and resells, donates or reworks them. The ironic name gets attention, and .org signals a purpose.
- Destination shoot packages: a planner offers styled sessions in Italy, from the coast to the countryside, for couples flying in from abroad.
