About this domain
typewrite.it is a domain name for anyone who works with the written word. "Type" plus "write": nine characters that say typing and writing. It suits a business that serves Italian readers or clients.
Who can use it
- Content studio entering Italy: a foreign agency opens an Italian office and sells copy, translation and editing to local companies under a name that states the job.
- Typing and writing school: an online teacher builds courses for Italian speakers who want to type faster or write better English.
- Italian stationery brand abroad: a maker of notebooks, pens or restored typewriters exports to the US and Europe, and keeps an Italian domain for the home market.
- Writing magazine or newsletter: a publisher with Italian authors or readers collects essays, tips and interviews in one place.
Why the name works
Two common English words. Easy to spell, easy to say: "type, write." Some people may add an "r" and type "typewriter," so print the exact spelling on cards and email signatures. Individuals and companies based in the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland, San Marino or the Vatican can register a .it domain. A company from another country can do it through its own subsidiary or branch in one of those places.
We own every domain we sell. We are an Italian company with over ten years in the domain business. The price includes 22% Italian VAT (no VAT for businesses outside Italy with a VAT/tax ID), and the first year of renewal is included. Pay in full or in interest-free monthly installments, at the same total price. Want a second opinion on the name? Call +39 02 500 427 87 and talk to the person who runs the catalog. Or buy on your own in minutes.

Questions about typewrite.it
Does the price include VAT? What if I'm buying for a business outside Italy?
Yes. Prices are in euros (EUR) and include 22% Italian VAT. A business outside Italy with a VAT number or tax ID pays the price without VAT and gets an invoice with no VAT; individuals, in Italy or abroad, always pay VAT.
Do installments cost more?
No. Same total price, no interest. You can use the domain right away, and it's registered in your name once it's paid off. You can stop at any time, but you lose the use of the domain and the installments already paid.
Can I transfer the domain to my own registrar?
Yes, for free. Request the auth code from your dashboard: we email it to you within 48 hours, and the transfer then follows the registry's timeline.
